Accessibility

Akmé 6 Designs wants everyone to be able to enjoy and use akme6.com, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or other assistive technology.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard most widely used to measure website accessibility.
What we have done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and starts with a “Skip to content” link.
- Photos have text descriptions, and buttons and controls have names that screen readers announce.
- Text is real text (not pictures of text), so it can be enlarged, read aloud or translated.
- Pages work when zoomed and on small screens.
- Animations are turned off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Each page is marked with its language (English, Traditional or Simplified Chinese), so screen readers use the right voice.
Known limitations
Some plant photos come from other photographers, and their descriptions are short: they name the plant rather than describe the whole picture. We keep improving the site as we add to it.
Tell us if something doesn’t work
If any part of this website is hard for you to use, please tell us. We will try to fix it, and in the meantime we are happy to give you the information another way, for example by phone or email, or to describe plants and garden styles to you.
Email [email protected] or call +1 (480) 352-3467. Please mention the page and what happened; we aim to reply within 5 business days.
