This policy explains what information akme6.com collects, why, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. In short: we collect only what you choose to send us, we use it only to answer you and work on your garden, and we never sell it.

Who we are

akme6.com is the website of Akmé 6 Designs, a desert garden design business in Arizona, USA. For any privacy question or request, contact Peggy at [email protected] or +1 (480) 352-3467.

Information you send us

• Contact form: your name, email address and message.
• Garden wish list (♡): when you press “Send my list”, your name and email address, and, if you choose to add them, your phone number, where your garden is, a message, the plants and garden styles on your list and any notes you wrote.
• Email and phone: whatever you include when you email or call us directly.

Please don’t send sensitive information (such as financial or health details) through the website; it isn’t needed for a garden design inquiry.

Information collected automatically

Like every website, akme6.com receives basic technical information when your browser loads a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is processed by the companies that deliver the site (see “Service providers” below) to send you the pages and protect the site from attacks. We do not use analytics or visitor statistics, advertising, tracking pixels, social media plug-ins or any other tool that follows you from site to site. The Instagram icon is a plain link: Instagram receives nothing until you click it.

Cookies and your wish list

akme6.com does not set cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people apart from automated attacks; it is not used for tracking or advertising.

Your garden wish list is saved only in your own browser (in its “local storage”) so it is still there when you come back. It stays on your device and is not sent to us or anyone else until you press “Send my list”. You can delete it at any time with “Clear list”, or by clearing your browser’s site data. When you use “Share this list”, the list is written into the link itself, after the “#” sign; browsers do not send that part of a link to our servers, but anyone you give the link to can see the list and its notes.

Because no cookie banner choices are needed for this kind of use, the site does not show one.

How we use your information

• to answer your questions and send you a quote;
• to plan, design and follow up on your garden project, if you become a client;
• to keep the business records the law requires.

We will not add you to a mailing list or newsletter unless you ask us to. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

We never sell or share your information for advertising

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months.

Service providers

A few companies help run the website. They process information only to provide their service to us:

• Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) hosts the website and protects it from attacks.
• Web3Forms (servers in the USA) delivers the contact form and wish list messages to our email. It states that it does not store form submissions; its server logs are deleted periodically.
• Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA) supplies the typefaces. Your browser downloads them from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address in order to send the font files.
• Our email provider stores the messages we receive.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

How long we keep it

We keep your messages for as long as we need them to answer you and, if you become a client, for the length of your project and the time afterwards that business, tax or legal records require. After that we delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner (see “Your choices and rights”).

How we protect it

The whole site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and the messages you send are read only by Akmé 6 Designs. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect it. If a security incident affected your personal information, we would notify you as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete your information (unless we must keep it by law);
• stop contacting you.

Email [email protected] or call +1 (480) 352-3467. We may ask you to confirm that the request comes from you, and we will answer within 30 days. We will never treat you differently for making a request. You can also have someone you authorize make a request for you.

“Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control

Because we do not track visitors across websites and do not sell or share personal information, the site behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal: you already receive the protection these signals ask for.

Children

This website is meant for adults planning a garden. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Visitors outside the United States

Akmé 6 Designs is based in the United States, and the information you send is processed and stored in the United States. You can use the rights described above wherever you live.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you already sent us, we will tell you before it applies.
